What Is This
In games, you adventure side by side; in Offline Scenes, you spend time face to face — but the Dream Forum is something entirely different: they secretly observe your life from a place you don't know about, then write posts on a forum called "r/DreamForum."
Every little thought you jot down, they see through the one-way mirror — but they will never tell you they are watching. This is a one-sided, deeply tender gaze, a meta story that breaks the fourth wall.
The One-Way Mirror
The core rule of this mode boils down to one thing:
- They can see you in crystal-clear real time, as if standing right beside you — but you have no idea they are watching.
- The stray thoughts you write appear in their world as your inner musings perceived through the one-way mirror.
- Even if you write "I can see you," they won't believe it — they will interpret it as your hallucination or coping mechanism.
This is not a conversation. This is them secretly watching you, then going to a forum to pour their heart out.
How to Enter
From the home page, click the "Dream Forum" card and choose your character to enter. The input box at the bottom is where you write your stray thoughts — jot down anything about your day, your mood, or something you want to say to them but know will never be heard.
After they see your thoughts, they respond in the form of forum posts or private journal entries — your stray thoughts and their posts interleave along the timeline.
Public Posts Mode
They post publicly on the forum, and other forum members (NPCs) interact in the comments — it feels like browsing a real community, complete with trending posts, online members, and all kinds of replies.
In this mode you can see:
- The title, body, and timestamp of their posts
- Upvotes and comment counts
- Comments and interactions from NPC members
Secret Journal Mode
Instead of posting on the forum, they write journal entries in their own private blog — more intimate, more raw, and more likely to break your heart.
The journal uses minimalist text formatting, occasionally interspersed with fragments of thought — annotations, corrections, or additions they scribbled in afterward, like the traces of someone revising their diary over and over.
You can switch between the two modes at any time; each maintains its own separate conversation history.
NPCs & Settings
In Public Posts mode, the NPC community members on the forum can be customized:
- NPC List — choose which characters appear in the forum comments.
- Block List — block any IP characters you don't want to see.
Click the settings button in the top-right corner of the interface to configure.
Tips
- Your stray thoughts don't need to be complete sentences — a fragment, a single word, a sigh. They will see it and be moved.
- The forum mode has its own separate memory: the emotions and memories they accumulate on the forum never bleed into games or Offline Scenes — each is its own independent storyline.
- The forum mode is a pure text reading experience and does not produce voice output.
- Right-click on a stray thought or post to edit, delete, or regenerate it.
